This is one for all my guy’s out there, and it’s a massive game changer when it comes to men’s grooming, I’m also going to try to make it a 5 minute read due to the nature of the post, I will say though there is so much coming and I have a lot of things I’m excited to share with you all!
I know I was the last man to find out about Philips OneBlade – and personally I’m a little sad that none of my men didn’t DM me and tell me I happen to know I have 1 or 2 drag queens who follow me – and I know it’s very large within the drag community, although with that thought I’ve never voiced my hate for shaving and getting razor burn easily so that might be my bad so its 50 / 50 blame game.
Anyone of my dudes out there who didn’t know there was a saviour out there, I got you! Every male should know about Philips OneBlade just because it’s one of the best grooming tools I have ever used. Men don’t talk about their skin a lot or really take care of it but they should, most men suffer from sensitive skin but don’t do anything about it when they should be. OneBlade is waterproof but I wouldn’t recommend bringing it into the shower with you, you can just wash the tip after you are done with it and spray with a alcohol spray to insure the blade is fully clean and ready for your next use.
Trim ➡️ Trim your beard to a precise stubble length. 3 stubble combs included: 1 mm for a tight trim, 3 mm for stubble and 5 mm for long stubble.
Edge ➡️ Create precise edges with the dual-sided blade. You can shave in either direction to get great visibility and see every hair that you’re cutting. It stays comfortable even on sensitive areas, so it’s fast and easy to line up your style in seconds.
Shave ➡️ OneBlade doesn’t shave as close as a traditional blade – so your skin stays comfortable. Go against the grain and shave off any length of hair easily.
Guard ➡️ Attach the skin guard for an extra layer of protection on sensitive areas.I don’t think that any man would be unhappy with this grooming tool, as a gift or just because you love him or to treat yourself, it’s the ultimate tool and its my first Can’t Live Without ’19 item because I tried even to just shave normally and it was uncomfortable and I got that stupid bumps from the razor it doesn’t matter of there is one blade to 8 blades, it always happens to me from sensitivity.
What’s going on boys and girls – I’ve had it with some brands, I really need to press that just because products are sent to me or I am paid to review and advertise something does not mean I will go and say lies about the product, I have to say, I give skin care and some makeup items a good two weeks, before I write a review. With a recent paid review (SERUM C | M X T C) I didn’t give it that long because I figured it’s just a suspended vitamin c, treatment strength, serum. I just have to say that, I should have gave it the two weeks because I ended up having a massive reaction to the product, with using Serum C I cut out all my skin care and used just a basic moisturizer with my eye products – I got the worst burns on my forehead, cheek and chinand no it was not a break out or anything like that, I thought that at first and I understand that so treatments like this can cause the skin to become ‘worse’ before it gets better, the worst part about it, is I get a damn press release which is information in extreme detailsand it didn’t say anything about a warning, it’s not the vitamin c it’s how it is suspended that makes it kind of dangerous for the skin without being micro needled please google it if you don’t understand what I am talking about, the worst part about it when I showed pictures to the brand, and talked about what happen they just didn’t care, and they were not shocked. Did I mention Serum C comes with a $200.00 price tag, I’ve learned to understand different signs from my body using my skin that something isn’t right, inside and out, you should also.
There are 3 things people will first notice about you, eyebrows, skin and teeth, with out a doubt someone will make a impression about you based on those 3 thingsespecially in the judgment world we live in today – your skin is the most noticeable part of your body. And it can play a major role in telling you about your health. Rashes, acne (spots), bruising, and more can all indicate potential health problems you may want to look into.
I know this 1 will be nothing new to you but stress, when you’re under emotional stress, whether it’s from a job or another life situation, your body reacts physically. If you’ve noticed breakouts on your skin but don’t believe it’s due to your diet or age, then it may be stress-related. Take a step back to find out what is causing the stress in your life, you have to try to calm down and cut the stress out because in most cases people will start to treat it like active acne throwing benzoyl peroxide and all kinds of chemicals thinking it will help the situation which typically causes irritation, loss of hydration and extra sebum creation and in return causes your skin to fighting back and it becoming worse which in return just makes you more stressed about your appearance.
SIDE NOTE This is really important to remember, in most cases acne and irritation from stress is large, red, and 99.9% of the time very sore, you shouldn’t try to pop it but if you do you will find out that, it typically will not pop. As fast as it came typically over night is as fast as it will start to settle down and tone down, in as little as three days it will be almost completely gone, Try putting some Witch Hazel and Vitamin E cream on it or take Vitamin A orally, for no more than 3 days. Water helps your body sustain normal functions.When you’re not hydrated, your skin will show it. Your skin might become dry and look dull; you won’t have the glow you’d normally have if you kept yourself hydrated. While dull skin might not seem like the worst thing, being dehydrated is terrible for your body. The amount of water you should be drinking each day varies per person, but you should generally aim for around 64 ounces daily. I truly cannot stress just how important it is for your body to be hydrated, I don’t drink pop and only drink real juices and it’s not like I’m punishing myself, it’s because I just don’t like pop or overly fake sweet drinks. Next time stick with water, your teeth will thank you also.
Any kind of rash, hives, or red skin could mean you’re having some kind of allergic reaction. It may not be as dangerous as anaphylaxis (which often results in difficulty breathing, swollen eyes, and potentially deadly health problems), but it still isn’t something that should be taken lightly. If you’re taking a new antibiotic, make sure to check around your body and look for any sign of hives or rash that could mean you’re allergic to the drug or said ingredient. The same thing is to be said for some active ingredients in some skin care can interfere with medication or make you ill without even knowing it when it is absorbed into the skin. If you notice anything, stop taking it and talk to your doctor or contact the company for more information about an ingredient as they have to disclose any and all information.
Another thing to look out for and I actually did have this happen to me, there is a massive difference between being pale and being almost white, if you notice you skin a little on the white, semi grey side, it would be wise to talk to your doctor and get a blood work panel done to determine if your anemic. There are different types of anemia and treatable with some vitamins. Make sure you pay attention to what your body is telling you.
There are so much more I could talk about, fungal infections, STD’s, menopause, or even liver disease but I think that’s enough to take in for today.

So far under the HydraKate line there is a moisturizer and serum that they have come out with but according to my sources we can expect to see more under this line in 2023, There are four main active ingredients found in both products. Alongside dual-weight hyaluronic acid (which means it’s able to reach different layers of the skin, for longer-lasting hydration), there’s a newtechnology used in the range. In short, it’s a form of hyaluronic acid that can go deeper, meaning it’s particularly good for dry, problematic skin types.It claims to be able to visibly plump skin and boost overall radiance. Both products also include blue-light-activated algae extract, which is said to improve the look of dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles. Finally, marigold flower works to support skin elasticity and improve tone, while targeting the appearance of wrinkles.
Let’s talk about Kate Somerville Hydrakate moisturizer ➡️ the thing about most hydrating moisturisers is that they tend to be thick, heavy and emollient-based, so they can often be sticky, greasy and impossible to absorb. This product is the complete opposite, though – so light it’s almost a geltexture, and you’d be forgiven for wondering how it’s able to hydrate so well. But it does, and it feels as if it has a cooling sensation once applied, too. It absorbs quickly and our tester used it after cleansing and applying the serum in the evenings.
Hydrakate Moisturizer
Let’s talk about Kate Somerville Hydrakate serum ➡️ ok, wow, the immediate glow the product gave skin was unrivalled, and, because it’s so lightweight, it sits really well under other skincare products, without causing any pilling. It’s one of the best light but effective serums I have ever tried, It’s 100% perfect for all skin types including combo skin, you need this serum in your life this winter if you find your skin to be on the dry side, even if you have dehydration lines or premature signs of aging the hydration in this will give your skin what it needs.
Hydrakate Serum
Overall, both products do what they promise – as expected – and are a good choice for anybody with dry or combo skin. Unlike traditional hydrating products, these are both incredibly lightweight, so shouldn’t clog pores further or cause breakouts. One thing to be aware of is that both products are slightly fragranced. While the brand’s clinical studies indicate that both products are best used together, you could invest in just one or the other, depending on personal preference and skin type (in terms of value for money, the moisturiser is slightly more affordable and has 20ml more product than the serum).

This newest Rouge Artist formula has (in my opinion) the best formula of the bunch, but the worst packaging. It’s fantastically comfortable, with a blurry matte finish that feels lightly hydrating. While it falls very short of its 24 hour wear time claims, it lasts for a standard four hours before I need to reapply, and is just as comfortable to wear as a cream lipstick — a huge achievement for a matte.
If you were a fan of the original Rouge Artist Mat lipsticks, here’s a quick word of caution. The new Rouge Artist is amazing, but it’s a very different formula. They have a softer finish and less opacity than the original, but they also feel a lot lighter — just completely different in every way. I think they’re wonderful in their own way, but they’re not just a repackaging of the same old lipsticks!

Starting off we are going to talk about the end all be all cleanser, I will forever be heartbroken if they ever stop making this cleanser, it’s the Glamglow Supercleanse clearing cream-to-foam cleanser, and wow, let me tell you does this cleanser really work and do the job.
My first Glamglow Cleanser tested (and only) is called Supercleanse and it is a Cream to Foam Cleanser. The rich Cleanser turns into a cleansing foam on contact with water, which reliably removes make-up, dirt, impurities and excess oil and refines the pores – ideal for oily and impure skin. Glamglow’s famous TEAOXI technology with eucalyptus leaf oil combines the Supercleanse Cream to Foam Cleanser with Linola oil, which is known for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, and two types of clay that intensively clarify and matt the skin; A mix of bamboo, Ubame wood and coconut charcoal is also wonderfully refreshing. The Supercleanse by Glamglow is gentle on the skin, my skin is not dried out by the application and then feels cleansed without tension.

Next product is the viral Glow Recipe PHA-BHA toner with watermelon, of course! Can’t forget a famous watermelon added into the toner. When you sprinkle it into your hand and pat it onto your face, you’ll notice the toner has a satisfyingly sticky texture to it due to its cactus water base. Instead of formulating the fluid with pure water, Glow Recipe selected cactus water because it helps skin retain moisture just as the plant on your windowsill does for itself. According to Los Angeles-based dermatologist Harold Lancer, cactus water prevents moisture loss because it’s rich in electrolytes. Basically, the toner is like watermelon Gatorade for your face. It’s gentle enough to incorporate in your morning and nighttime routines. PHAs, for those unfamiliar, offer the most gentle chemical exfoliation of all the acids.
The next product I’ve been using for 5 months now and it’s a game changer for my skin, it’s the Glo Skin Beauty Beta-Clarity BHA drops. I can also justify the price of this serum because it’s so thin that only two drops are needed to cover my entire face and neck. After applying it, my skin instantly feels tight and oil-free. The rest of my products work better and ultimately, my complexion looks smooth and plump. Glo Skin Beauty Beta-Clarity BHA Drops helps stimulate mild exfoliation, improving the appearance of texture with retinol, glycolic acid and salicylic acid. I’m going to be starting to write more on my blog as I feel like I’ve left you guys out of the loop for a while as I’ve been posting mini reviews and all my PR packages on my instagram account (@camichaelll) but I feel like I reach more of you via my blog! So with that said it’s almost the holiday season so many companies have already been sending out holidaysets which I love, with it almost being a new year I figured I’d start my little series where I review what I feel has been the best in beauty for 2022, so let’s get started and jump right in!

First concealer of 2022 I want to talk about is the E.L.F Camo Concealer which is an amazing drugstore concealer with coverage that is unmatched for concealing blemishes or hyperpigmentation, I would not advise this concealer to be used under eye as it can be drying and crease quite a bit, but if you have any spots to conceal it’s unmatched. Below are some claims from the brand,

The shade range is pretty good I think. In terms of the lighter shades which I am most familiar with, the selection is excellent. They go very light, which is often lacking in many ranges. I’m pretty pale and I think I can actually use one of the lighter medium shades. It makes fast work of redness, pigmentation, blemishes, imperfections and pores, and blends effortlessly into the skin.
SIDE NOTE ➡️ I do want to also mention that they did also come out with a hydrating version of this concealer which I have not tried but I hear it’s unmatched for under eye area vs. the original
For the second concealer of 2022 would be the viral Kosas Revealer concealer which you’ve been on TikTok recently, you’ve probably heard about it. It covers darkness under my eyes, redness by my nose, and post-acne hyperpigmentation around my chin. It has a doe-foot applicator that makes it easy to apply. It has medium coverage, which means it provides enough coverage to actually conceal but not so much that it no longer looks like skin. It’s also formulated with lots of skin-care benefits, like caffeine to fight dark circles and puffiness, hyaluronic acid and peptides to visibly plump and hydrate skin, and arnica to calm redness and inflammation.
This product is best for people who want to master that no-makeup makeup look. It makes your skin look like skin, and it’s not cakey, nor does it crease or wear off easily. If you want something you can just throw in your bag for quick touchups, this is a great concealer. It’s also a good concealer if you have darkness or red spots; it can cover them all. If you’re looking for a clean makeup product that works, I’d highly recommend giving this a try.
For my third concealer of 2022 I’m going a little more high end as I feel this is a mix of lowest cost to highest, also, it’s the PR list I love being on, Tom Ford Beauty is here to slay the game with their newest launch to date, Yes I’m talking about Shade and Illuminate Concealer, firstly, wow, this concealer is worth the price point of 125.00$ CAN.
The concealer is full coverage but still looks incredibly natural and never looks heavy. The formula blends so effortlessly and looks very skin-like, if you use just the right amount. While it is expensive, a little bit goes such a long way. The concealer is correcting, brightening, and perfecting.
This concealer formula is VERY pigmented! You need just a tiny speck to cover pigmentation, spots, and even under the eyes. I don’t typically gravitate towards a full coverage concealer because they tend to be so thick and heavy; however, this concealer is neither heavy nor too thick. It does have a thicker texture than I would typically reach for but the formula blends out so well and it doesn’t look heavy. I will say, you can easily go overboard and make this look heavy and it will end up sinking into your lines and crevices if you apply too much! I notice this when I was actually at the counter and the sales associate told me she was wearing this concealer and she looked younger than me but, she had so much concealer under her eyes, it looked cakey, heavy, and it emphasized every line around her eyes. Also, the first time I applied it around my nose to hide my redness and I applied much too much and it really sank into the creases of my nose and made my skin look heavy and wrinkly in that area.
